Vehicle Drives Through Soccer Fields
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon at Stryker Sports Complex, a major youth soccer facility in northeastern Wichita. Witnesses described a black pickup truck traveling across the fields, striking multiple people before coming to a stop farther inside the complex.
One witness told local television station KWCH that the truck traveled approximately 100 to 200 yards through the soccer fields. Emergency responders were seen performing CPR and providing medical assistance to victims as additional police, fire and ambulance units arrived.
Wichita police established a significant emergency response around the complex, asking motorists to avoid the area near 29th Street and Greenwich Road while investigators examined the scene.
